Title: Rosewood grips on my Sig P220 Elite 10mm
Post by: Kenk on August 21 2021 10:52:51 PM MDT
I?ve come to the conclusion that the Rosewood grips on my Sig P220 Elite 10mm won?t work. As beautiful as they are, they are not functional, and will be going back to the factory G10 grips. Other than getting a far better purchase with the G10?s, my wedding ring will beat the heck out of these fancy grips

Sorry to hear that your grips didn't work.

I am really happy with the function of Sigs G-10 grips.

As far as rings go, I always remove my ring(s) when handling any firearm for the reason you mention as well as to avoid scratching nice finishes.

I have had many gun shops thank me for doing so when looking at their guns. It has just been a courteous habit I started about 30 years ago.

Hey Vice, that?s a great idea, as much as I dislike taking it off, I think l may have to reconsider

As I think about it more, I think the lack of texture is the biggest issue. With the G10?s, you can just get a better overall grip on it. If I ever sell or trade it, the fancy rosewood?s will be a huge selling point, but will likely never part with it 😊

My ring used to abrade wood grips...the divorce fixed it. :-)
