Title: looking for load of w231 for g 20
Post by: Ballester molina on November 17 2021 10:20:05 AM MST
Hello I wanted to tell you that yesterday I was testing some loads of win 231 on the g 20. all with LEE TL-401-175swc boolit. starting with 5.8gr, 6.0 gr and 6.2gr. 5.8gr medium 974.9fps 6.0gr average 1044fps 6.2 gs average 1026fps. I was struck by the speed reduction with the 6.2gr load. can I keep going up?

6.5 gr at 1,143 fps is max for 180 grain Acme coated bullet loaded 1.260".  That Acme bullet is better optimized for case capacity, but also is 5 grains heavier.  I would consider the data max.  I would keep going up to 6.5 or 1143fps unless I was happy with the accuracy.
