Title: Thoughts on the Taurus GX4
Post by: Kenk on June 26 2022 11:33:59 AM MDT
Any of you have or shot the Taurus GX4 micro 9mm?, I have an opportunity to pick one up at a super good deal. Plus I could use another pocket pistol 😀
Thanks

I was looking at that one too. I was looking at the TORO version. I liked the way it felt in the hand, the trigger seemed pretty good. Being compatible with Glock sights gives you choices for replacement sights.  In the end, I opted for the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus "Bug Out" edition which came with the bag, optics ready, night sights and 5 mags for regular retail price of the shield plus.

I was able to find a new GX4 for $239.00, so couldn?t resist, that and a pinky extension and a Vedder Pocket Locker, I should be set. The reviews / videos that I checked out were all really positive, so should be a useful little pocket pistol

I would have picked that up too. Thats a damn good price. Fleet Farm here in Mankato has one at $349.  All the reviews I watched on it were all positive. Who knows, I may still get one at some point. Today I ordered the new Walther WMP 22 Mag.

Hey Rooster, you guys have any good outdoor ranges in your area? (Several hundred yards) We are an hour north of Mankato

Key City Conservation Club in Madison Lake has a 200 yard range. Family $100(ish) first year, $85/year after that. I do most of my shooting here. I go during the week when everybody else is working. Every now and then run into some old timers but usually have the place to my self.

Caribou Gun Club in LeSueur has a 300 yard range I believe. Not sure on the memberships there as they are a hunting preserve. They also have a trap range and sporting clays course.

Faribault has a 600 yard range, but I dont know anything about this club.

Thanks man, Elk River Sportman's Club goes out to 600 yards apparently, but is also aprx 50 minutes without traffic, so may check that place out. I?m already a member at a local indoor  range, so a second place might be asking a lot😀
Thanks again!

if anyone has both the GX4 and the G2C I'm curious on trigger comparisons. I really like the G2C trigger

Think the thing I like most about the GX4 trigger is the very distinct wall, you know exactly when it?s going to go bang
