Schools and Government buildings are about the only places I don't carry, and are likely the places you would need it the most. Good thing I rarely, if ever go to either
My state allows carry everywhere but courtrooms, jails and federal properties like the post office. Federal parks are allowed. I can't remember the last time I was unarmed in public not by my choice. Or by my choice actually. I just always carry.
I just wish more folks in MN would carry all the time. 1 on 20 have carry permits, but I bet only 5% carry regularly like myself
I had my CCW for a few years.
But, I dropped that after constitutional carry was enacted back into my state. It was like that before all the clinton gun banners and democrats screwed that up back in the early to mid 90's. I even waited more than 2 decades after they enacted the CCW BS to get my license. We were able to open carry already. Which I would often do. And were allowed to keep the gun in the console or glove box or even the pouch on the rear of the front seats if it was present.
Now, thankfully, that is at least one little piece that we have taken back in my state.
The only thing that I miss by not having my CCW is not needing to call into the fbi during a 4473 nics check, but I don't have any problems passing them either, so it's just an extra 5 minutes of my life wasted standing there waiting for them to get off the phone.
Reciprocal carry? Well, that is also largely a moot point for me because I only travel out of my state maybe once every 4 or 5 years. So, that isn't really a major consideration or talking point for me.
The democrats tried to sell licensing and training as the best thing since sliced bread, but the only thing they left you was the crumbs on the plate. It's standard operating procedure for them.
Licensing for a God given right? Gimme a break.
Why not license voters? Try to pass that law and see how far it gets.
