Title: Deadly combo
Post by: Bakerby on November 16 2022 11:02:09 AM MST
Deer #6 with SR1911 and Fiocchi 180 grain hollowpoints. Smallish 9 point buck shot at 15 feet thru the neck, lights out. Lifetime handgun hunter, spent first 30 years with smith model 29 44 mag, the 10 seems to get it done just as well. Got a picture but can?t figure out how to post it.

Since my retirement as a Senior Engineer I continue experiments.  I have acquired 20 10MM pistols.  Some are OK and some perfect.  The SIG P 220
Hunter is Great.  But I remain fixated on the Colt 1911 Delta Elite.

Hey Jim, mine started out as the P220 Elite Hunter, but had some extremely minor flaking of the camo finish, which is apparently quite common according to my rep. Sig stripped and bead blasted it for free, and was back home in two weeks, my only cost was adding the rosewood grips. If you ever get tired of the camo, contact Mike Chandler (super nice guy) He also said,  for Hunter?s with a non-pealing finish, they would strip and bead blast them for $100.00
