Title: 200 grain RN hardcast loads?
Post by: czgunner on December 05 2022 05:43:32 PM MST
These guys are local to my state and a shop down the road carries their bullets.

Is this a good choice for 10mm?
I'm guessing a flat nose is preferable for woods carry. Why the round nose? Would it be effective on a black bear?

These will be shot in my new M&P 4.6" 10mm.

They should work well being coated bullets.  For bear a Wide Flat Nose would tend to be a better choice at cutting a better entrance wound.

Thanks!
If there is a specific bullet you like, would you mind sharing it?

Thanks, their prices are similar to Missouri Bullet Company's stuff, or maybe just a tad higher

I see they make a coated 200 grain with a flat face. These should feed OK in the M&P?
Its such a pain to order a big box of bullets that don't feed.

It?s a true fact, the good news is, they can always be melted down and reused 😀

IIRC, With the flat heads, you may have to watch the overall length re tipping angle into chamber
