Title: Where to start??
Post by: gadabout on March 06 2023 12:45:05 PM MST
I have been loading 38 special for a guy I met at the range and he is shooting them in a 357 mag revolver. I have just finished some 357 for him to test and boy it seems like a big case. I went from 9mm 124g bullet to 357 158g JHP. I had to look twice to see the powder in the 357 case. I am loading 8.0g Power Pistol with 8.5 being max. It ought to wake up the neighbors without a problem. My max load for 9mm with 124g bullet is 6.2 and that's max. It shoots that way. I even shot some of the 9mm this morning and it was a handful in the Springfield XDs but it does support +P rounds. I think the 38 sp loads were 5.4 Boy we are having fun now. Craig

Be careful loading for others. Unlike ammo manufacturers, we don't carry any matching insurance. A blown up hand and loss of a career can quickly turn into a massive lawsuit against you. Only takes one simple mistake.

a great point about loading for others. I'm about as cautious and anal as it gets loading on my Rock Chucker, but refuse to load anything for others. It's not that I'm concerned there may be a double charge or anything else, I just won't do it
