Title: Be86 9mm
Post by: 10 Round on July 22 2025 05:31:51 PM MDT
II have been trolling the internet, looking up what people are shooting 9 mm and BE86, they have 4.8 that's a great load, easy to shoot very accurate.
I couldn't hit crap with that load the cases were coming out, totally black. They weren't even expanding enough to seal. So I tried 5.0, 5.2, 5.4, and 5.6. Still no accuracy, the cases are black as can be. So I looked it up they say 5.9 Max, I did 5.8 now that is an accurate load, it seals. The cases don't come out All black, you just can't run BE86 low.
I'm shooting that through M&P Shield 9. I guess shorter barrels make a difference in the loads.

I don't recall the exact load without looking at my notes, but I'm running BE-86 in my sig p365 with  speer  gold dots for self defense loads.

I shot them over a chrony and they're averaging around 1090 fps out of that gun.

Considering it's a 3.1" barrel (remember, almost half of that is the chamber itself), that's the best numbers I personally have been able to achieve.

I'm currently loading my 124 gr XTP with 5.8 BE-86. I'm unsure where they are at fps wise but ar very accurate
