Unlike the old LabRadar, no more misses.
Yep I have been looking also, performance & pricing is getting better also...

This was the results for the Ruger 380 strike

I was able to put it back together and it still works but will eventually replace it with a better Chronograph soon.

And the size is a big factor too. My old LabRadar has its own Pelican case. This new one will fit in my other case with all the other range gear.

I had one of those too - didn't work for my local indoor ranges and didn't want to do the longer trip to my outdoor ranges just to test some ladder. My MagnetoSpeed is too much of a pain to attach. The old LabRad misses a couple shots out of 10.
Is that on your property? I'm jelly.
Yes, on my property, but can't shoot here...It was just setup for photo.
I used to shoot on occasions (like 4th of July & New years to mask the shots as fireworks), as I had a Dirt berm to stop bullets.

I "could" legally shoot on my property but it will upset my neighbors. Not politically, but with no proper berm in place and not enough distance to the next homes, it would only take one flyer...
Been looking for 5 to 10 acres in my neck, but everything gets bought up for future communities at triple the prices compared to 5 years ago. Everybody moving to Florida.
That athlon would probably be my choice today. But there is a really interesting thread over on High Road of a guy that has the Athlon, Garmin and Labradar. The Labradar and Garmin are consistent as the rain, but the Athlon drifts a bit session to session with "known" ammo when the others don't. And Garmin and Labradar always more of less agree on the velocity, but the Athlon is off 5-10 fps. And it's not consistently off low or off high, it changes from test to test.
Now, for me given the price difference and the small margin of error the Athlon seems to have it would be my choice. But I am not selling my labradar to buy one, even though something smaller would be more convenient.
