Well another one that didn't hit the mark or close enough for me to feel good about the advertising. Maybe they did their testing in Utah  :o :-X

    Ted Nugent 270gr BSP Ruger Redhawk 7.5" barrel 1356, 1399, 1339, 1329, 1321. Average = 1348.8 FPS/ 1091 LBS. 100 FPS off which is bad news!

    PBR Ammo 240gr FMJ V-Supreme Ruger Redhawk 7.5" barrel 1542, 1537, 1533, 1524. Average = 1534 FPS/ 1254 LBS.

     American Eagle 240gr JSP Ruger Redhawk 7.5" barrel 1474, 1429, 1449, 1431, 1436. Average = 1443.8 FPS/ 1111 LBS

      Remington Thunderbolt 40gr LRN  Ruger MarkIII Target 5.5" barrel 1039, 1081, 1030, 1053, 1066. Average = 1053.8 FPS/ 99 LBS

I agree.  Not wimpy, but certainly not what's been advertised by any stretch either.  And it's not like you were using around a 5" barrel either.  You gave it a good chance with the 7.5".

That's true! I looked over the sheet again and wondered if I missed one. Did I ever send you any of that American Eagle to do a pull-down on?

No you never sent any of the American Eagle in 44mags.  If they are using H-110 or 296 that would surprise me seeing the numbers you got, those are lower than the PBR that was using 22.0 grains.  Hodgdon shows 23.0 grains as their low @ 1413 fps using a 8.275"  BBL.  We can do them too if you want to send them next time!  :D
