1060 FPS rated. Headed out now to see where it falls.

BTW... it's Nickel case with a brass colored primer but can't get it to stand on end for a photo.
1060? That is square in .40 S&W range.
Looks like 1050 muzzle and then it gained 2 fps at 50 yards
The image that Intercooler posted isn't coming up on the computer I'm using. It is saying 1052 or 1062 at 100 hundred yards? Probably a misprint since it is a first production run & hopefully it was supposed to say 1160 at the muzzle? I'm being optimistic here!
Looks like 981 at 100 yrds.
This is why we test them. I guessed 1175 if they used the 180gr load on GlockTalk yesterday:

They did better than the box flap rating:
Limited Pro 4.75" 1156, 1160, 1152, 1153, 1146. Average = 1153.4 FPS/ 517 LBS.
Will be interesting to see how they do in the gel!

Nice! What do you estimate they will do out of a Glock 20 (4.6 inch barrel)?
1140 or so.
Like you said, that is better than .40 S&W. It seems to be a tough bullet, from the .40 cal gel tests I looked at. It might make a decent load for a backup gun while hunting.
That's not even loaded hotter then a factory silvertip. Hornaday sucks!
People have to realize that the defensive ammo is going to be loaded to a performance level that fits acceptable levels, as set forth by Law Enforcement Standards such as FBI specs.
Why you may ask? Well the testing they have developed is base on certain criteria;
http://www.gunsandammo.com/2012/05/16/hornadys-critical-duty-faces-the-fbi-ammunition-protocol-test/ (http://www.gunsandammo.com/2012/05/16/hornadys-critical-duty-faces-the-fbi-ammunition-protocol-test/)
If you want something that is outside those specs you need to handload or find companies that load to those levels, ???
I asked if he wanted four more to pull the bullets for a 1300 FPS try.
Id have to agree with macc283.They could run it mid 1200 or high 1200,although Shawdow explanation is spot on.I lean torwards Nugent loads.Silver Tips don't come out at their claim.
Hunter data for these.
EAA Hunter 6" 1213, 1212. Average = 1212.5 FPS/ 571 LBS
