Title: magazines for EAA 10 mm
Post by: jiminthe burg on September 13 2013 11:32:45 AM MDT
Hi,

Just ordered a witness elite match from Bud's.

Have a question re magazines.  Was told by EAA, that they have transitioned to the mag  with the black follower made by Tanfoglio. Bud's has them but it could be a red follower or a black one. Is there any difference between the 2 or should I go with the mag w/ the black follower?  Three are about $6 less at Buds than from EAA.

I plan to get a Henning cone guide rod and a heavier r/c spring and where can I get a flat bottom firing pin stop ( Hennings )?

I used an e-check so it will be at least 2 weeks before it arrives at my lgs.

Thanks

Jim

Henning has the cone guide-rod and flat bottom block. You can package it together with a 20lb Wolff spring from him. I have tried every line of communication I have for him the last couple of days trying to get the same parts. MIA!!!

You don't want the red follower! It should come with one black follower K10 if it is new issue. Go to GunBroker and order the K10's. I purchased 4 all at once that way on a good deal. They all work flawless!

I bought from this seller. EAA charges $50 for two plus shipping. Better deal here:

FYI, Midway carries them as well in a pinch.

Midway in the buy feedback saying they got reds  :o

Also some come with the flat metal base pad and others come with the angled Tanfoglio plastic base pad. You can specify to the seller above what you want.

Midway has the K10 black follower for 24.99. I used them when I had the Match.

Re  the bases- Is there any advantage or disadvantage in either base, or is it merely cosmetic?

Thanks again for the information.

I used what Midway had and it appears to be angled. They worked 100%.

Here is my post when I got mine and I didn't specify so I received two each:

The flat metal ones can rust I guess. They look a little cleaner when inserted and are lower profile if you want to use it for carry. The angled plastic bases give you a little more handle with the plastic angled base. The base pad also won't rust.

Currently I have a flat in my Limited Pro and an angled in my Hunter (looks better on that model). I yanked the other two base pads off the other two for my Limited I pick up next week. It has a magwell that takes a different piece.

Thanks again, intercooler.

I think you are the go to person for questions for Tanfoglio firearms and the Shadow is the go to person for S & W 10XX handguns.

ordered 2 (that is all they had ) last week, from Midway and they came today. When i called to order, i was told that they had the black follower and there was a K 10 on the side. Wanted 4 but i will settle for 2- $27.50 each. The web site said they were expected on 10-11. Thanks Pacapcop. I reread the rating section and a customer took the base plate off a mag. with a red follower and put it on his new mag or at least  that is what I thought i saw.

Called Henning today to order some items  and like Intercooler says, he must still missing in action because the call went to his voice mail and then it said the mail box was full

I haven't been keeping up lately.  What's wrong with the red follower mags?  I've had several for years and never had a problem with them.  Of course, I don't shoot as much as I'd like.  Should I expect problems with them?

Spotty reports of ftf. Compact steel model's use them and they suck.
