Title: Buffalo Bore .44 Magnum 270gr JFN
Post by: Intercooler on October 12 2013 07:47:08 AM MDT
Cabela's has some smaller caliber deals going on now, so I added these in to take full advantage of the $5.00 shipping. David got 1479 FPS/ 1311 LBS out of them in his Raging Bull. Very strong which interests me in what the load is.

They usually ship pretty quick and if the rain stops I will run them to see.

Those look to be slightly over what my manual shows for the 270 gr GDHP (test barrel 8.375")
Hodgdon's Hottest load was listed as using Lil'Gun 21.5 grains @ 1439 fps 38,300 CUP
Hodgdon doesn't show any of their loadings over the (Max pressure listed 40K CUP)

The Ruger's with better tolerances may show better numbers at the same powder charge.

What was canceled? The sale?  No ammo being made?  ???

Those 270's are heavy hunting style bullets...they seem expensive too.  Given the current supply/demand situations things started to get a little better.  However many companies are working on the top selling products only to fill orders.  This would include bullet production.  Components need to be available to produce the products.
