Post by: dhuchz on January 07 2014 12:07:29 PM MST
Does anyone have a load data for 180 gr. Extreme hollow point Copper plated using VV N-350? I'm hearing any where between 5.4 and 10. grains???????????? Thanks everyone.

VV shows the following...there may be people pushing beyond the manual loadings ???
Based on the 180 HP Speer
N350  5.2 grains @ 1076 fps
N350  6.6 grains @ 1130 fps

Most say use the plated bullets at lead bullet loadings...not true in some instances. seeing that these loads listed are below the 1200 fps threshold listed by most plated bullet makers.

If you choose to go beyond what is shown you are on your own!  I have not used the VV products and saying so I don't have experience as to how they react above the manual loads.  Sorry!
