Title: Re-tested Armscor and GAS Ammo made it today
Post by: Intercooler on July 11 2012 03:40:20 PM MDT
Looks like Armscor hasn't changed their loading. About the best value boxed 10mm ammo out there currently:

Match 4.75" - 1255, 1242, 1261, 1240, 1263, 1244, 1242, 1228, 1288. Average = 1251.44 FPS/ 625.81 LBS

GAS Ammo is on for tomorrow and they use a Zero bullet in Starline brass

I had one piece of split brass now out of two boxes. Seems to work okay!

Here is the Gas Ammo results today:

GAS Ammo
1161, 1172, 1125, 1148, 1130. Average = 1147.2 FPS/ 525.90 LBS

Out of a G20 expect about 1110-1120 FPS. It shot fine and is good for plinking but not real hot.

David posted some 10mm testing he did on his 10mm Ammo page. Of interest is the Armscor 180gr:

Armscor 180 gr FMJ 1149 FPS @ 528 ft lbs

I'm trying to find out what the box color was. I was afraid it was a BVAC/Armscor thing and would be diluted in the next batch. Mr.Redbull bought some of my Armscor for testing so we will see what he gets.

Looks like what I thought already happened and it will be interesting to see how the next batch goes.
