i think i have decided on a 45acp for my next gun. like i said in a previous post i am a glock fan. what is slimmer/smaller than a g36? never shot a g36 but feels sweet in the hand. this gun will be for my wife. she has been carrying the g27 but she says she would like a smaller gun. doesnt have to be a glock but she likes the idea of no external safeties like the glock. but she can learn easy enough to deal with a safety. she used to carry a snub 38 but the all metal was heavy and kept wearing out her purses mainly breaking the straps over time. any ultra light big bore revolvers out? after showing her the one stop chart she doesnt want anything smaller than a 40. 38 specials did have that great of percentage of one stops compared to others. i reminded her its about shot placement but she wants big.
i say more than 2 shot because of that new pocket pistol that shoots 2 45's at a time.
dang i must be the king of getting threads moved. shows what a noob i am to the forum thing.
keep the mods busy since January 2014
Check out the Kahr PM40 or PM45. Forget the new 2 shot derringer in 45acp, if she shoots it once she will never shoot it again.
The Boberg is supposed to be out this spring. I have his 9mm's and they are good guns. Check this out.

Might not be the smallest, but I would think a Glock 36 would be the best of the small .45s, or maybe the old S&W CS45.
I carried the Bersa Firestorm compact 45ACP for a while. Its amazing for how little these guns are, how little recoil they have. I switched that out for the XDM 3.8 compact 45 ACP. I love this pistol. Both are a single stack. Nice guns.
Kahr CW45 is a slim, comfortable, single stack model.
How about Springfield XDS in 45. Very small, one inch wide barrel length 3.3 inches. 5 to 7 rounds all controls are similar/same as a Glock. They did have a recall. I have several post recall, 9 and 45 (2 of each) all function fine.
