It looks like it is helping this one sell at a decent price too! If I ever sell another pistol I hope to photo it just as good.

Very nice
Fantastic pictures. First gun I ever shot. I will definitely own one at some point.

I think every 10mm fan should and hope you do! It's pretty hard to break one and they seem to shoot everything very well. Even though it has plus and minus features, you just don't sell it after getting one.
I shoulda picked up a 1006 back when I had the chance to get one new.
I had a 4046, a 5946, and a 6906 from Smith.
They show up on GunBroker every so often. I purchased mine BNIB almost two years ago in it's original blue box:

I transformed it into something kind of unique

Very nice! They are great guns. I would swear my 4046 was built like a freakin' tank, and I believe it wouldn't have a problem handling 10mm loads.
Someone's going to get a fine 1006. Intercooler, you have a nice one also.
Very fine looking pistols. I may have to add one to the collection at some point.
Love my 1006, buiilt like a tank, very "smooth", shooting, and mine has malfunctioned exactly once. Thats was my fault with some faulty reloads of my own. Did anyone notice the price on the box? 469.99, I think I paid 5 or so for mine, at jims gun shop fayetteville NC. That pistol is in fine shape

What are the minuses?
Trigger- In both double and single action they are both horrible. #1 complaint!
Capacity- We have double stack models holding 14+ rounds.
Velocity loss- I haven't been able to understand why, but other pistols with 4.6"-4.75" barrels give higher velocity numbers in all weights.
Those are the ones that stand out, but it shoots the 10mm round like no other and gives me the least amount of brass travel distance.
With the Smith 3rd Gen's it was designed for Law Enforcement in mind at the time. Decocker feature and trigger pull. We were issued the 5906 in the 90's and it was a flawless pistol in terms of reliability. As opposed to the Tanfo's, apples and oranges. The Smiths are designed for combat use as opposed to comp shooting/target shooting. That's why I would like to see CZ make a 10 with decock feature. Accuracy would be better imho and a great combat proven platform.

The camera is a Canon 7D, but I don't know the lens. I went to the Flicker site and found the camera, but EXIF (metadata about the photo) has been stripped from the pics.
The photographer did a good job with lighting in the series.
Nice piece!

What a Beauty! Man, the price of these Smith 10's just keeps rising. Seems just the other day (5 years ago) I picked up a 1076 for $525. Oh well, I just bought a G20 Gen 2, and I think my next is going to be the new STI 10. But I would have a hard time not buying that 1006 if I would have come across it at a gun show. Enjoy that one, just a beautiful piece!! :P
