Howdy all,
Just took possession of a Glock 20/Gen. II. I haven't owned a Gen 2 until I tried a buddy's at the range, a G22. IT was like a cloud had been removed. I have always "put up with" the Gen 3 grips since starting to shoot USPSA back in '04. I just wasn't aware the Gen 2 grip was so good for me. I just never liked the grooves on the G3's front strap. But, I digress....
Possible to hear a few Gen 2 G-20 owners chime in on their's? Likes, dislikes, wants, needs? I just got it today, so haven't shot it as yet. But I like the "feel" of the grip....just not happy with how smooth the surface is. I am not a fan of the Hogue grip sleeve, and skateboard tape is not my favorite as well. Any other options for the Gen 2 grip? I don't think I would like any more mass on the grip. It's not to big now....but don't need it bigger. Thanks!!

Nice and smooth, looks good for its age!
I also like the gen2 grip. I haven't tried a gen2 g20 yet, though.

Thanks Shadow, my first. Rich10, I am actually surprised how well this grip conforms to my hand. Can't wait to shoot her!
Congrats on the Gen 2!
You might want to find a Gen 3 barrel, or go aftermarket if you want to shoot the full power stuff.
Some of the Gen 2 barrels were notorious for lack of support.

Hmmmmm, didn't know that? Just the gen 2 20? I haven't checked my gen 2 17, or 22 yet. Good idea. Thanks! Also, nice avatar! My P7 PSP is a very favorite of mine. Absolute tack driver. I used it for my CLP class. Had to take a pic of mine real quick with my phone.

Thanks! I carried a P7M8 both on and off duty for 12 years. I had to turn in the P7M8 13 years ago, but I liked it a lot.
Enjoy the PSP! They definitely are tack drivers. 8)
Yes, congratulations on the Gen2! I agree with Shadow, looks to be in pretty good shape. Did you get the original case and everything with it? Although I've only shot Gen3 G20, I Personally have a Gen2 G22 and I absolutely love it, I'm sure the Gen2 G20's follow suit. You're right about conforming to your hand, when you grab it it just feels natural, points and shoots like a dream, your's will certainly not dissapoint. Jealousy ensues 8)
As for the grip sleeve possibilities, sorry to say I cannot comment, don't have any experience with any of them.

Thanks! No case with the pistol. I am not worried however, as I have made a pact with the Gun Gods that I WILL NOT trade or sell anymore of my guns. .....dramatic pause of silence.....at least that's my plan. So I no longer covet the factory case as a
must have." I also have a 17, and 22, Gen 2. And love them as well. I found a possibility on the grip surface on Midway. Going to order it and will post. I just don't like the feel of skateboard tape. This product offers a rubber type option. We'll see. Here's the link if anyone else finds interest.

I am not a glock guy, but I agree they are fine guns just not for me.
But you may want to look at these grips. I like the rubber type myself.
