I ran across a 200G Lyman mold last week. #2660633 two cavity TC bullet. Not my first choice in a hunting bullet... BUT the price was right... ;D :D
Tonight I melted down one of my mixtures one lino type, pure lead and #2 alloy. makes for a pretty hard bullet, but has proven a good preformer in other cast bullets. As I said this TC design is not a great hunting bullet choice, I may need to soften it up for some expansion... time will tell...
Gotta plan a range trip and some bullet testing soon.

If they are fresh cast, its one of two things.. The "mixture" or the temperature.
Soft lead is more dull gray, but form a good mold will be still be pretty shiny when first cast.
Hard cast as I have here will be nice and shiny, IF the temp is correct. Get too hot (Lino type melts at a lower temp and can overheat) and it gets "frosty" looking like pewter.

That being the case, I say too hot a mixture. ;) Conversely, "wrinkled" bullets are too cool a mixture.

Those are nice, they have two lube grooves that should place ample lube for the ride down the bore. I like the TC bullets but the new mould I just got was the RCBS SWC (tiny wad cutter) TCBB. I got some frosting on the wheel weight mix, as I was casting a little too hot the other day, trying to hurry before the rains came or it got too hot to continue casting! The frosted look isn't a bad thing if you get a great fill out!
I shot some today (man it was hot and humid) they ran between 1130 and 1200 fps, the leading was very light at the end of the run and brushed out easily.

Do you have any pics of the bullet? Maybe we can do a swap bullets for bullets? (I prefer as cast, I will size and lube)

The RCBS 200 most were 208.2 grains...Bullet length is 0.7135"

Mine are about the same @ .712 - .713 and 204-205g
I have sized almost 400 bullets and I have a good 100+ left in the can!! Guess I cannot judge very well.. LOL...
Loading the first of them tomorrow.
