Just a heads up for the American Handgunner Sept/Oct 2014 issue. Several 10mm guns featured
They have an article about the 10mm hunting guns being almost magnum...By Mark Hampton
He didn't have any of the older guns listed like the S&W 10xx series other than a mention of the FBI 1076...
10mm starts on pg. 66

10mm keeps picking up steam! cool article thanks for posting it.
still waiting for winchester to drop their Razorback 10mm bonded 200gr that does 1250fps in a 6" (im making this up but it would be nice).
Yes it is picking up steam(starting to see brass on the range).
Took my daughter and wife to the gun range Monday to shoot the 10mm. While the big and burly men were shooting their 9 and .380's , the Ladies were shooting my G20 with better accuracy :o ;D
Nice article
Great article!
Thanks for the heads up!
Really enjoyed that. The 10's gaining steam.
I got mine! I may have to start following Mark Hampton's writing.
Took my daughter to the range this weekend - bought her a S&W shield 40, she really likes this gun - but ran into a seemingly occurring problem with the shields - not sighted in from the factory-( low and left ) 3 of use fired the gun and got the same results - I going to haft to work on this problem.
Anyway I switched her to my G29sf (http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk296/SDS47/10MM/G29sfCCW.jpg) (http://s283.photobucket.com/user/SDS47/media/10MM/G29sfCCW.jpg.html)
with Georgia Arms 180fp at 1100fps loads and she was shooting really good groups with it - Hmmm may have to switch her over to a G29sf
she didn't like it the first time around, but after shooting some of the hotter 165fp rounds I loaded for my sons M&P40 she liked the recoil better on the G29sf and the fact theirs more grip to handle the recoil then the shield - but alas theirs no way she can carry it concealed like she does the shield. It was funny in the sense that the people there know I shoot 10mm and were amazed watching her shoot the 10 - made me proud.

Reminds me back when my roommate's girlfriend would go with us to the range. She could make us both look like cross eyed amateurs some days. I would not mess with her for sure.
A very good read. That gave me the idea to find a nice used Ruger convertible in 357/9mm and send it to a pistol smith and have a 10mm/40S&W convertible made out of it. I guess for me I figured 10mm had "arrived" when I saw Aluminum cased Blazer ammo in 10mm.
