I promised my youngest son that he could have my Kimber .45 after he married. He got my S&W 1076 instead and left me 10-less. No big deal as I will not sell any of my handuns so one day my 2 sons have them all. Been contemplating picking up another 10 but in a 1911 platform. I have a Kimber .45, just bought a Colt WC .45, and have a few CZs but no Dan Wessons(point being I like all three mfgs). Leaning to the Razorback, but not close to making a choice, and wanted to reach out for a few opinions. Would like a stock, fully supported chamber and will be picking up 10mm dies for loading on my Dillon 550. Thoughts?
I just ordered my first 10. I got a longslide, but if I had been after a 5-inch, the RZ-10 would have been at the top of my list. I own a Kimber, a Colt, a DW, a Nighthawk, a Guncrafter, and a couple of Wilsons to compare by. My longslide will be a Guncrafter. Of the options you mentioned, I'd choose the DW.
And the only correct answer is.......................DW ;D
Actually got on a wait list for incoming stock of DWs. Got 6 lbs of Power Pistol. Just need the gun to make ammo for.

I guess if the 1911 is your only point of view.
I have a 10 mm R I A 1911. But my tanfoglio witness match is every bit as good. The elite match should be more in the price range of a Razorback. I believe it would be the equal to the DW.
I too believe the DW would be a good choice but I've never owned one. I'm pretty sure Intercooler would agree with me on tanfoglio and he has owned the DW.
I have the RIA, Kimber, DE and RZ10 in 10mm and would recommend the Kimber or RZ10 for a 1911 platform with fully supported barrel. The Kimber and RZ10 are both high quality, but IMO the RZ10 is the better looker. The RIA has given me trouble and had to put money into new magazines to get it to work correctly. The DE is a great gun, but not so if you are into reloading more stout rounds, due to unsupported barrel. Good luck.
Thanks for the info.
I was thinking of the three, going with the DW. Delta's do have non fully supported chambers, and Kimbers can be temperamental. My DW Razorback just keeps going, and going, and going................
But then so does my $600 RIA................
For me, the order would be the Razorback, followed by the Kimber.
Just me, but I question Colt's engineers. Or, they were out-voted by Colt accountants. That barrel chamber makes no sense to me.
My Delta and RZ 10 run great, Kimber Eclipse next as soon as I see one.
Of the three I'd choose the DW, no doubt.
21 feet with my Dan Wesson RZ-10 Razorback, and my handloaded 185 grain pills. Should do you proud.

Not trying to throw in another manufacturer but I bought a para Elite hunter with 6" barrel. Will see if I can dig up a pic of Chamber support
