Title: Warm Fuzzy Feeling
Post by: redbaron007 on September 04 2014 02:19:53 PM MDT
Just wanted to share the warm sensation I've received over the few days or so.

My son is a normal red-blooded American young man. He turned 18 about 2 months ago. Prior to his 18th birfmday, he had been researching and asking me questions about purchasing a pistol; we've talked about the details several times.

Well, Monday he found one he liked. He has been stuck on a .45 caliber pistola.

He contacted this owner, negotiated the price and then we met, looked it over and he purchased it. He bought a M&P 45. The prior owner had sent it off to have the frame coated in a camo pattern, the slide coated in olive green, and installed Trijicon steel Night Sights. Nice gun. He had researched the used/new price in the area and paid $450. The guy threw in a box of Hornaday Critical Defense and 50 rounds of assorted ammo.

It feels good to have the offspring understand and respect gun ownership.

Ok......warm fuzzy feeling off!  ;D

That is nice.

My daughter turned 18 just last month and one day soon, after she has a good handle on her college classes, we are going to be assembling her AR lower and upper. The parts were a birthday present, but she has to put it together.

My 21 year old daughter is very handgun friendly. I gave her a Sig Mosquito to keep in her apartment until she is ready to have something larger. She is now looking at a 9mm but loves my 357sig. She's pondering the G33.

Just another addition....

My son, father and myself went to the range yesterday. We shot my son's new M&P 45, my G20, my G32, father's Browning 22 pistol and his S&W Model 39 (?) 9mm.

We had a great time. We even fired out to the 100 yard section with my G32/G20. The G32 was spot on; the G20 I need to use the bench rest next time for 100 yards; not sure if it is me and/or the 6" barrel. The stock and 6" barrel functioned flawlessly.  Mostly shot through the G20 was 180 FMJ-Georgia Arms. If I can figure out how to link to the video, I'll post the slo-mo with my son shooting the G20.

Good on you!

My second daughter was born on Wednesday and my first daughter was born four years ago.  They will both be trained in the art of firearms ownership and respect when the times comes.  :)

It appears it is not uploading to my You Tube; it stays 'Processing'. I'm trying to get it worked out.  >:(

very nice.  There is also pink furniture for AR/M4s now too.  Nothing better than a woman with a gun, imo.  I am still wanting to get some of the pink aluminum or steel 5.56 30 rd magazines.  I think it is C products that make them and part of the proceeds go to fight Breast Cancer.  Would love some rude jerk to pop off on my pink mags just so I could give the guy an education about respect.   ;D

Several years ago my wife commandeered a gun as "hers".  I had just received it and she came along for the first range outing.  By the time we got home, it was made clear to me that it was now her gun.

One of these days I will have to order another Witness Elite Match so I can have one too.
