I fired another 100 rounds through my Glock 20 and thought I might get a KKM 6 inch barrel. Then I kept thinking about getting a Kimber or the DW. Well got up this morning and thought I would go to the local gun shop and see what they had. Before I left I just had a thought that they would have the Kimber in their store. Sure enough they had one and now I have a Kimber and a Glock. Next on the list is a S&W 10mm(1006, 1076 or any of them). Any S&Ws for sale?
I also loaded a 10mm round into one of my .45 1911 mag and it seemed to fit. I just wonder if it will function in the Kimber. Anybody know. I won't get the Kimber until Saturday.
Yes you can load 10mm rounds in an 1911 .45acp mag. I do it all the time.
Some people have good luck with it but I didn't.
I've had good luck with my Kimber STII. It functions and shoots very well. I really like it. Get some Metalform magazines for it. Same as factory but cheaper.
Finally got out to shoot my Kimber Stainless Target II. I went through 100 rounds of Hornady 180 XTP factory rounds 1180 fps and 100 rounds of the DT 165 grain rounds at 1400 fps. So far I am very pleased with it. Only coming with one magazine is crap when you pay $1060 for a pistol. However I had ordered 3 mags from Midway before I got the Kimber so I had 4 mags. All worked well and accuracy was as good as I can shoot, 3 inches at 15 yards with a flyer or 2. Now I am waiting on my 1006 to be shipped and hope to have it by the end of the week.
