Title: Glory Days... Underwood 200gr XTP
Post by: Intercooler on November 29 2014 01:28:51 PM MST

It's nice to have these videos to look back at what the 200gr XTP can really do at the right speed. The newer versions won't see this pretty mushroom  :(

Around 1200 FPS... a little less in a Glock. We will see where the 200gr Noslers are this week. It's really hard to tell since Underwood has switched powders around.

Not to be a party pooper. Underwood's reputation on advertised velocity meets or exceeds. Is this a isolated case? Even at 200 it's bad ass and would result in deeper penetration. Hornady's factory 200 can travel. Are they brining it down for further penetration as a deeper hunting load?

What kind of powder are they using now and any idea why they switched?
