Tough situation to be in.
Looks to me like one of the cleanest shoots I have ever seen.
A homicide is considered justified where there is evidence prove that it was reasonable to believe that the offending party posed an imminent threat to the life or well-being of another.
In this instance here were the facts known to the officer:
1. The decedent was known to the officer to be a felon
2. The decedent had a handgun immediately accessible. Whether or not he possessed it is a legal question, but it was immediately accessible
3. The officer knew the decedent had a prior history of assualt with a deadly weapon against law enforcement officers
4. The decedent was un-cooperative with the directions given by the officer
5. The decedent, contrary to officers instructions to not move and stay in the car, exited the vehicle and moved towards the officer
6. The decedent was close enough to the officer that he could lunge, tackle the officer and begin a struggle for the officers gun
I personally think that meets the reasonable definition pretty clearly.

+1
In addition to everything listed by Sqlbullet:
Officer couldn't possibly afford to assume the uncooperative and advancing suspected didnt possess another weapon.
Deceased was known to attack the police using deadly force. No reason to believe him disregarding a lawful order was a innocent move.
All your points are 100% valid. Best step by step I have ever seen written!
An unfortunate situation. Things can happen fast out there:
