I read on Carolina gunrunners that Para is gone and will now be rebranded as Remington. I contacted Travis Tomasie and he no longer works for Para.
Oh my, Para for the course...I doubt Remington will continue the 10mm hunter but I could be wrong! ??? Or should I say I hope I'm wrong! 8)

Will Freedom Group cover the warranty?

Para Ordnance supposedly makes/made the R51 for Remington. You know; that gun that didn't work.
Maybe Freedom Group/Remington decided to buy out Para, so they could control production.

Para USA has been part of The Freedom Group/Remington for over three years.
This is really just the disappearance of the brand. Either they didn't value the brand anymore, or they hope to amp up the Remington brand in the pistol market with this move.
I thought this happened in 2012.

Freedom bought Para-USA in 2012. Now they are eliminating the Para brand. The guns will carry the Remington roll mark going forward.
Could be a smart move. Remington is a well known brand. Para is not. Name recognition alone should help them sell more guns.

It seems the branding death march continues at Freedom Group, as more and more of the smaller brands under the Remington umbrella are killed off and merged with Big Green proper. The latest casualty is Para USA, a 1911 handgun manufacturer known for competition handguns and good quality products. In a press release this morning, Remington announced that Para USA will no longer exist as a separate brand, and their products will be sold under the amalgamated Remington branding instead. unless remington does what it did to marlin lever action and F'ed it up. Now you get crapola compared to the quality marlin of years past.
