I don't know your definition of local, but if you happen to be passing by give it a look over, let me know if there are any issues with it.

I might have to add this to the collection.

I found a nice article on it which said this was taking full-power 10mm without issues while Deltas and 1006's were coming apart. It seems it's built like a tank!

I will be up that way tomorrow and will stop in.

I'm heading up there now. Hopefully they will field strip it and let me take some photos.

First time seeing one in person. This thing is a Tank! Heavy... heavier than a 1006 by a decent amount. The barrel is fully ramped and looks similar to the 1006. The magazine is a 14 round that looks kind of like a Tanfoglio unit. I'm betting you might get lucky to get one working in this piece. The DA trigger pull is much better than the 1006, but the SA pull isn't as nice. I only saw the two slight surface rust smidges on the top of the slide and they said oil and Steel Wool will remove it. They can hold it for 24 hours if you want it.

Man, that thing looks beefy. How was the weight? Was it substantially heavier than a typical all-steel gun of the same size?

Tank. Like Desert Eagle of 10mm.

:)) awesome! Nothing like an overbuilt gun. Especially when handling stout recoil! Thanks for the info on this one.

Thanks for the heads up on this.  I finally broke down and bought it to put all of you out of your misery.  Now I have a starvel one and a blued one to match! ;D

Haha, thanks for saving us all. I'll definitely have to keep my eyes peeled locally for one... They seem like a fairly esoteric type of gun but it's actually kind of interesting. Let us know how it works out for you. I doubt it'll be breaking anytime soon, from the looks of it!

Yes, and I appreciate your excellent pictures of it, Intercooler.  Your pics were much better than the one from Xring.

Cool! Someone I know got it! You will have to give us a range report and more pictures when you get it. Maybe some of the barrel with a round inserted for chamber support. I know for a fact when I looked at it, some thoughts:

- Fully ramped excellent barrel. The muzzle end resembles a 1006.
- Heavy, tank... heaviest 10mm I have ever held.
- Before dropping $100 on a new magazine for it, I would try a Witness K10. They seem pretty close.
- Beef everywhere!

I doubt you can break it with anything out there. It's like a 1006 with more heft!

Yes, like I said, I already have a 10mm megastar in the starvel finish, so I kinda know what to expect weight-wise.  Very well-made guns.  It dwarfs my 1066 in both size and weight, but is not nearly as big as a desert eagle as some people have said (I used to have a 50ae also).  I have a witness elite limited 10mm, and no such luck on the magazines fitting in the megastar (or vice-versa) although the mags do look very similar.

If that thing ever needs a new home let me know!!  Oh yes I'd be willing to babysit it for a weekend also. Lol. Never even seen one of these and I am somewhat familiar withe Star guns. Have a Firestar 9mm myself. New to the forum so hello!
