Might as well see what Big Ted's 10mm looks like :o
Gettin' personal with Uncle Ted are we?
This was one of his nice 10's

He has a big 10 :o :P
I received it today and will test it tomorrow. If nothing else I got some Nugent stamped brass and some neat packages ;D

Damn 20 round boxes... :o
I'll be waiting on the review! :-[
That's pretty cool.
What was the cost for the box of 20?
Cool headstamp. It might be worth grabbing a box, if for no other reason.
They were $18 and change.
I'm back from testing these. Wow... their is Underwood and then their is everyone else. I feel I will try to write Pearce and Bid Ted with the results. Test gun and barrel length wasn't stated, so I will ask and tell them since their target consumer is a Glock owner they won't get ratings on the flap which may kill some sales if others test it out. Why would you pay such a premium when you can get the same bullet with better ballistics cheaper?
Match
1222, 1236, 1230, 1244, 1252. Average = 1236.8 FPS/ 611.25 LBS. In a G20 expect 1200/580 or so.
Hunter
1273, 1293, 1291. Average = 1285.66 FPS/ 660.50. Maybe Big Ted had it rated on his Big STI 10mm because this hit it. Beats me!
Also retested Thunderbird Cartridge:
Match
1255, 1266, 1262, 1286, 1247. Average = 1263.2 FPS/ 637.63 LBS.
Hunter
1328, 1302, 1293, 1310, 1311. Average = 1308.8 FPS/ 684.49 LBS.
Maybe Teds gravitated to long barrels/high end pistols and Glock is no longer in picture,or pictures.Im just saying.
I wrote Big Ted. It's not worth the expense versus Underwood. I told him may not sell much ammo with these results!
Sure would have liked to have seen numbers not going below 1300fps, but then again, why am I not surprised either. Oh well. Maybe someday someone will give Underwood a run for the money. Then again, maybe not. Until then, if there ever is a then, at least we have Underwood.
I almost bought these today, I got nothing instead, American eagle, Ted nugent, or hornady. I'll stick to underwood!
I also almost bought these the other day when I was at Cabelas. I didn't because of this thread. I couldn't remember the velocities off hand. If we are thinking around 1200 from a G20 it is slightly faster than Hornady 180 and Win. Silvertip. The price at Cabelas was $19.99.
I shot and chrono'd some today. Five shots averaged 1133 fps. :'(
Warren, Which gun make, barrel length and RSA did you test with? ???

Even from a G29 that would be sad in my book.
Whoops. Sorry, guys. Glock 20 box stock. Temps in the 70s. Shooting Chrony. Standard deviation was 13. I've always considered it a "Fast" gun because I consistently get 30-50 fps more than what others have reported with various brands of ammo.
I wonder if the 30-50 fps could be because of your chronograph? Have others tested with their guns through your chronograph, that you know it's your gun and not the chronograph?
I considered that. I'm the only 10 guy around here, so no G20's to compare. I have tested the same ammo through my 1006 and it's very close to the same velocities. If my chrono does run high, that means that Nuge ammo I tested is an even bigger disappointment.

Yeah, that would really bring the term "sad" into perspective.
Mr.Redbull got some of mine. Let's see how his numbers look when he tests the whole slew of 10's he got from me. 1133 seems really low to me. That's like BVAC level and I can tell by recoil of the ones I had they were better than BVAC.
