,I really like this forum and I wanted to know if it's is okay to bring up modding our 10mm firearms? If It's not I apologize and I won't bring it up again!
What mods are you thinking of doing ?
I don't see why not. Bring the mods!
There is also a "Gunsmithing" forum that deals with modifications here, it you scroll up.
Though this forum gets more activity.
Yeah, I'm interested in what you are thinking of doing. I just ordered a MechTech conversion unit to make my 1911 10mm a carbine.
Post away. We aren't Nazi's here. If we feel it should be in a different sub-forum, we will politely and quietly move it, but leave a redirect behind.
Than ks and I bring up on this forum rather than other ones because most people here are helpful and have common since. I have my new G20sf and I have already installed a brass stacker 20#ss rsa,now I have ordered and I am awaiting for my Ghost "edge connector and edge spring kit with 6# and 6.5# firing pin spring.i have never been tempted to do any mods untill I joined on here and bought my 20sf, I have a Gen 3 model 17 since '97 and have never done anything to it I don't know what happened but when I got my 20sf everything has changed.Any how any input is always appreciated.
Are marine spin cups worth the 11.00 dollars or they just hype?I was looking at the Ghost spring cups.
Here's a good one for ya.

Thanks ,it's a great honest video .i am now more confused, but I don't see myself shooting underwater.more like dropping Glock in a running wash,I know I did that quite a while back but I immediately detailed stripped and cleaned ammo the sand and water out lightly oiled and reassembled.
Yeah, I would consider this considerable modification.

That's nice the Meg tech, I saw one for the G20 and the muzzle velocity is of the charts @ over 1600 fps even the Barnes 155 grain ers couldn't hold up .what does that upper run? Wow talk about feeling under gunned ,I am starting on small stuff which to me is a big step ,I used to Leave all firearms oem untill I joined up here lol and people like you fuel my addiction. ;D
The Trijicon HD sights are a pretty awesome upgrade if you've considered changing sights.
I prefer the TruGlo TFO sights.
I just put some Truglos on a Taurus 1911. But I also like the factory installed fiber optic pipe fronts on my Fusion Firearms and RIA Tac II.

I'm really considering these for my LC9s. Pretty great sights, huh?
Yeah Iam still on the fence about what kind of night sights right now Iam using a import green laser /flashlight combo that has actually held up to the recoil of the 10 mm now I just can't find a holsters for it I made the mistake of ordering the Ghost stealth GI holster so now Iam looking for wallet friendly holsters.Oh I did get my Ghost edge trigger.connector which did make a huge difference as far as trigger feel no creep , however with the new Ghost spring kit the trigger is slightly heavier.
This is my first post here.
I found this site a while ago and wish to thank you all for intelligent posting of topics..
This is a very cool conversion... I was thinking of getting the Olympic Arms 10mm upper but it's over $700, and anyway I have a Para in 10mm and a Grizzly in 10mm and 10mm Magnum..
I will look for the appropriate section and post pix of my toys..
Anyway, I'm now going to research that MegTech upper conversion, it would look great on my Para and Grizzly!
These are True Glo's on my Taurus 1911. Look how it almost looks as bright as the green LED in the background.

They look great.
Welcome Riddim and thanks for the visual gang dog ,I'll be honest with severe diabetic retinopathy I have believe or not problems transposing the sights especially at night,I have thought about getting a different color front sight like in the green rear/yellow front ,Iam not sure yet .
Tru-Glos really aren't much help at night. They need sunlight to operate well. Tritium night sights is the way I would go. I have them on my SIG P229, and they work well at night, and don't fade as the night goes on like glow in the dark painted ones.
Does any one have any ideas for a R/H holster that I can use for my light /laser combo or even the iwb clip that attaches to the back plate with to screws?
After ?all my minor tinkering on my G20sf, and running 100 rounds through quick as I could I really like the Ghost edge drop in I should have ran more through it but Iam saving the rest for big church shoot out and to check on my new reloads but I think it was the biggest improvement I made hopefully I can get a drop in barell any Idea which I should look at ie KKM storm lake Wolfe Which on. And why ? Thanks
We there are many who swear by the KKM barrels and I'm sure they are good to go. For my Glock I have LWD conversions for 357Sig and 9x25Dillon, of those 3 barrels they have been perfect with great chamber support. I also have two Storm Lake barrels for the G-29 one is 10mm and the other is 40S&W, these are from 2007 and have been good, the 40 chamber is almost too tight and lets me know when it needs to be cleaned. I only use it for range play.
When I carry any of the Glocks it is with the factory barrel for the best reliability. I also you the factor barrel when developing ammo as not to exceed the 0.4340" case expansion. Anything larger is a slight smile starting.
For other guns I have used Bar-Sto with good results.
Yes o have heard alot of great things about Lone Wolf and my brother in law swears by them and S you said they chamber may just a little too tight on his 40S&W Conversion to 9x19mm after shooting alot of PPU fmjs ,he tried some Remington 12r great golden sabers and had a few FTF's so I was wondering if there is happy medium I. Up graded drop ins or just stay with the looser more reliable feeding of stock barrel? I do live where it's very dusty ,but lately become pretty obsessive about keeping my two Glocks clean and dust free.
