it is an STI VIP that started out as a 40 S&W. I had Reeder Custom in Flagstaff re-chamber it to 10mm. Shoots like a dream, and looks good doing it<G>

Aww man STI takes the cake on Billboarding a firearm. I would have insisted on no lettering.
yeah but when it's in the holster they can't see that and when it's pointed at them they don't care.
SO.....VERY......JEALOUS.
Quick story.
About 4 years ago, maybe a bit more, we had just gotten our tax refund. It was large that year. Wife and I were out and about and ran into a good friend of mine from LEO days. He is still with a multi-juridictional agency in our state and had just been issued an AR-15. I commented that I still needed to add one to the arsenal. And then smiled at my wife. And she smiled back. With a look that told me "Drive to the gun store now and I won't miss $1000 at all".
So, off I went to the gun store. Immediately. But, when I came out with a rifle case she was suddenly confused. See, we had been in that store two days earlier, and I had commented on an STI VIP they had used in the case. That is what she thought I was going to buy.
And, I still regret that a bit to this day. The AR-15 was short lived. It was sold to fund the purchase of two M1 Garands. So, I guess it has all worked out.
But that is a gorgeous gun!
Thx. They are definite very well made and handle fantastic. I hear you on the AR. I have built a few but only have one left. It ia my p-dog gun
good lookin 10MM.
Sean
thanks Sean
Nice gun. And another option for getting a 10mm platform.
Tell us more. The VIP has various options for the frame, slide and barrel.
It is a basic VIP. Bull barrel with heavy recoil masteer with an aluminum frame. Given the light weight I probably wont shoot a steady diet of real hot loads. I still need to check POA/POI
