Title: Who can tell me about the Ruger SR1911?
Post by: Buckeye 50 on September 04 2015 03:02:16 PM MDT
Getting itchy for another 45 and have heard very nice things about this gun.  In particular, if somone could mask the brand from me and I shot the Ruger 1911 then a higher end model like a Colt, without knowing which was which, what if anything as a shooter would I notice as differences?

Thanks,

Pat

I had one bought new really when that Ruger 1911 craze was on (2012?), last year I swapped it for a CZ P-09 and cash in the parking lot of Lowe's in Monroe WA.

For the price, not bad. I just never shot it much. Prefer my Colt 1911 (customized Rail Gun) and my Sig Target Nitron "1911".

Depends on which Colt.  The SR1911 and SR1911 variants are very nice for the money, but so far only in .45.  The new LW CMD is impressive.  Pictures.  I have a couple 5 inch SR1911s but here are my CMD from Jan 2013, then a Night Watchman I bought this year and at the bottom one of the new LW CMDs.
