Title: Double Tap ammo
Post by: ram1000 on September 20 2015 09:45:32 AM MDT
Double Tap has 10mm Magnum listed.  Is this for the 10mm pistol or something other than my Kimber Eclipse???

10mm magnum is a longer cartridge and will not chamber in the standard 10mm auto...

The S&W 610's have been reamed to accept the cartridge, Thompson Center were chambered for it and also the IAI semi auto.  Maybe a few others were also done...

The 10mm Magnum (10mm AMT Magnum, actually) is a different cartridge, and won't (shouldn't) fit your 10mm Auto chamber or in the magazine. Almost none of the handgun models we discuss here can be made to fire them. Perhaps an LAR or revolver. I think only the Automag was ever produced for this cartridge, although I've "heard" of some DE's, but don't know if these were conversions or production.

The 10mm Magnum makes the 10mm look minuscule.  :o
