Then as I do urban exploration with my wife and we tend go to abandoned psychiatric hospitals. When we went to henryton state hospital in Maryland we went mid summer upper 90's it was cold enough inside we could see our breath even though all the windows were broken. When we went to the basement our flashlights died we went to our backups and they died when we left we discovered both our cell phones had also died.

When I was a teenager, we went into an old house that use to house senior citizens. We called it a haunted house, but it wasn't haunted.

I have been to a lot of ghost towns in California and Nevada.

I live in the house I was raised in, been here 50 years. My folks passed away in a house fire almost 30years ago, same house. I rebuilt what needed rebuilding, moved back in, and eventually got married and had a family. During the entire time since my folks passed away, there have been constant unexplained noises, doors shutting, strange reactions from family pets, etc. Nothing violent, ever. Every night, without fail, we all hear footsteps/floorboards creaking in the hallways after lights out, and I believe that it's my dad, making his last rounds before turning in, just like he did when he was alive. On a side note, I do have two nephews who absolutely refuse to stay overnight in the house.

No, unless this counts:

Not quite a Haunted House Story;
But years ago, at a friend's house, we where playing with a Ouija Board
Making too much noise, their Mom got real p!$$ed, grabbed the Board and threw it in the (burning) Fireplace
We all thought we heard screaming coming from there as the thing burned to ash
The next day, I was asked to come over their House;
And there in the Cabinet, in its old beat-up Box, sat the Ouija Board

I have been there on Halloween night for their flashlight tour. Very odd place. Mrs. Winchester was a paranoid narcissistic psychopath. It is odd seeing that house in the middle of San Jose.

I also stayed overnight at the Presidio under the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco when I was in teh 6th grade. It wasn't haunted because nobody was ever killed there.

If you can get reservations, here's a cool thing to do on Halloween (or any) Night ( while in the LA area):

Nope, but looking at a hotel in Denver that is supposedly haunted, and might stay there on vacation. I'll let you know. :)

Wolfie;

Funny!  I actually meant, GHOSTS, and NOT the living  ;D

The subject of the supernatural and the "unexplained" of everything is very fascinating to me.  Don't know what's real but I always have fun watching this stuff on cable.

Was house hunting a few months ago. My wife and i were in Everett, WA. The place was built in the early 1900's and huge. Price was really low, not too much that needed fixing. I swear approaching the basement there put the hairs up on my neck and whole body. The owner I'm sure or at least assume died in that house and is probably and undead Lich. Buy that house and it owns your soul.

When I lived in Madison Wisconsin there was an old abandoned house in the alley across from our house, we always said it was haunted. One day me and my brother decided to sneak in and check the place out. We were fooling around when suddenly without seeing anybody we both hears a "GET OUT!". You never saw both of us run any faster than that outta there! It was probably just a bum or homeless squatter, but we never did see anybody, though we both heard the get out.
