Title: G40 Upper on a Gen 2, G20 Lower
Post by: DenStinett on October 03 2015 05:42:13 PM MDT
Since, I believe the first of the G20s were actually on a Gen 2 Lower
SO, I hope my question is correct in asking:
Will the new G40 Upper run on a Gen 2, G20 Lower ?

I doubt it. The G40 has the Gen 4 recoil spring assembly (RSA). The front-bottom of the slide is larger to hold the RSA. The larger front section will not slide into the smaller front section of a Generation 1, 2, or 3 Glock frame.

The only option I can think of is to get a Lone Wolf slide if you want a longer slide on a Gen2 G20 frame.

Thanks for the info MOG
Not a real fan of Glocks, so I didn't know what (major) difference(s) there are between the Frame Gens
I do have a first Generation G20/21 (Gen2) Frame, running as the Receiver for my MG20-M4, 10mm MechTech Unit and thought that maybe (just maybe) it would be nice to have a Longslide to run on it if I (ever) feel the need    8)
