I know that this may have been tried but we need to contact S&W in mass. Here is the if, if everyone on here would contact S&W requesting a new 610 and if this could be spread to the other 10mm forums and facebook pages then we could really generate some interest and hopefully a market for S&W to produce another run of the 610. I just sent in a request to them via their web page at

I poke them monthly asking for another run of 610's and my dream carry, an M&P 10mm.
:( Sadly neither has been met with much optimism from smith and wesson other than "That's a great idea, I'll pass it on." I thought sure they would at least consider the M&P 10mm 10th anniversary edition. But that too was a no go.

I've been sending them regular inquiries about an M&P 10mm since the 45 was announced.
A 5"-6" M&P CORE 10mm would be awesome as it fits my hand better than the G40.
S&W seems to have a "been there, done that" attitude when it comes to the 10mm. Perhaps we'll have better luck with Ruger.
I keep asking them for a 6" SR10mm hunter on either the polymer SR45 frame or the 1911 platform.
Defiantly won't hold my breath waiting. >:(

You know, a while back they had a post about how someone met with smith and wesson leaders to discuss the aspects of a 44 magnum. Shortly thereafter, smith and wesson started making 44 mag revolvers and send something like the 3rd ever made to the guy.
I thought about putting up a post about how I would be more than willing to take a week long vacation from work to discuss the 10mm with smith and wessons leadership and why they should either revive the 610, or make what I see many posts asking for...an M&P 10mm.
Has anyone contacted Dan Wesson about this? They do much smaller runs and I would LOVE a stainless DW 10MM with 6 and 8 & 3/8th barrels

Their attitude could also be "we did our part...we made them, but the buyers didn't show up"
Plenty of people want them now...yet S&W can't manage to make a 10mm barrel and cylinder for the existing N frame??
Maybe Ruger if S&W doesn't get it
