Title: first time shooting new Gen4 G40
Post by: Doubletap on December 20 2015 10:20:39 PM MST
Took my 80+ yo Dad and his new 380 along with my new Glock to range today.  First time shooting in many years.
WOW. what a nice shooting weapon.  Went thru 100 rounds of 200g pmc fmj. and 50 rds winchester 175 gr jhp. Felt no difference.
Cant wait til next weekend to go again.  I had no issues at all.  My dad limp wristed first shot, after that, no, issues.
Really happy with it.  Next week also trying my g30s, and possibly a g29.  Boy did I miss shooting! Especially with Pops.

Absolutely! My father has been dead since 1975 (I was 20). Enjoy every moment you can, and revel in the memories.

Go with God.

Enjoy it.

I have been shooting with my father only one time in my life.  He just doesn't like guns that much.  He is a superb shot, qualified marksman in his Army shooting qualifier.  I have seen many a squirrel that lost the top of it's head to my dad's 22 magnum rifle.

But it isn't something he enjoys, so it was never a priority when I was a kid.
