Title: Slide "rackers"
Post by: cwlongshot on February 01 2016 08:01:14 AM MST
Any of you guys using or ever tried one?

I'm leaning to the ambi version. It's not as obtrusive so drawing from a holster should still be feasible.

They are pretty cheap but wondering if one is better than another.

Do you mean something like this?

It might be good if you have arthritis or some other condition that prevents you from grabbing the slide, but I see no need for it.

I had to learn the "over the top" method when I put a 24# recoil spring in my witness.  The rear sight becomes your "racker" hook in this method.  It has caused be to love standard blade style rear sights.

I have one that has two ears that stick out, old be easy to round them off so they don't potentially pinch you from the holster.. Will sell it cheap, I am not using it now.
