Chute 'em! ;D :D :))
Thanks.
Consistency with measures of the BE-86 has been great in my loadings with it. Now I need to up my own game with this powder, it is why I waited to find and bought the 8lb jug! :o
Funny thing is I just ordered two pounds.
When I was working with 180gr FMJ bullets I found 9.0grs of BE-86 at 1229 fps, to be as far as I should go in the factory barrel.
I couldn't imagine putting a 200gr bullet in front of that. I wonder if the BB has access to a much slower lot?
I didn't see a target or an actual velocity, has anyone shot these?
I haven't yet but after this weather system down here clears out, I will try running them over the chrony... ???

Good info Rdub01. I just recently found a can BE-86, and have some 180s loaded up to 8.4gr, but the weather will not cooperate!
Yea it's rainin cats and dogs here, and will continue for a while. :'(
They are saying maybe next weekend..
Benchrst 8.4grs should be just fine. Alliant lists 8.5grs. I didn't get case measurements of .4340"and a little over until I got to 9.0grs.
This gun didn't particularly care for BE-86 as far as shooting tight groups. Other powders do much better.
Like to hear how it does in yours.
We got 6" of rain but places 25 miles north and around me here got 16" to 19" rain and now the waters are draining down all the rivers but the persistent south and southeast winds at 20-30 and higher gust for many days piled the gulf and lake waters up in our area so it will take sometime to dry out here...
I'm going to try the BB 180gr and 200gr testers benchrest sent in several different guns, S&W's & Glock's if and when I get to go...

9.0 grains of BE-86 seems very high.
Alliant reloading data shows a max load of BE-86 with a 180gr FMJ @8.5 grains. This Buffalo Bore load has a bullet that is 20 grains heavier, and has 0.5 more grains.
.
.
my_old_glock I agree, but this is how these companies get their numbers. I have not had the chance to test these due to the weather, range schedules and I have been laid up with cellulitis since Friday last week. I know the Alliant printed data is on the safe side, even though they don't show pressure values any more.
I was just reviewing this data and the Sig data for BE-86 and some of my notes as I am about to load up some of my cast 200 grain to get ready for a few test using BE-86.
I want to load some of my 210gr CL-SIL Hornady 41 mag bullets (sized to 0.402), and would like to try BE-86. That 200gr Buffalo Bore load is close to the 210gr load I want to use. Power Pistol is slower than BE-86, and I think I can safely use 7.5 grains. I may try 7.0 grains of BE-86. If the BB load is safe, I should be able to use 8.0gr of BE-86 with 210 grain bullets.
.
I put some 200 grain (some weigh 208) RCBS TCBB cast (Bullet length 0.7170") together today, I settled on 8.4 grains of BE-86 seated to 1.2525"
Maybe I'll get to take advantage of the clearing weather and go test tomorrow if I can squeeze into the scheduled events.

Is this the Buffalo Bore, or the RCBS TCBB cast bullet and 8.4 grains of BE-86?
What weight spring do you have in the G20?
.
This is the Factory Buffalo Bore as listed and test from this Pull-down with the 9.0 grains of BE-86 from the S&W1006 and Glock 20SF.
I actually forgot to test the handloads yesterday as I started loosing the evening sun... :-[

Shadow, I was torn as I've been using a lot of Bullseye for 9mm 115gr fmj's. I was at the sportsman den and they had both Bullseye and BE-86. I checked with the lady at the counter and both were the same price, $124.99 for 8#. I said to hell with the bullseye and walked out with the BE-86! lol
Best part is, it's a large gun store, with a very small reloading section, so a lot of people don't go there for the powder and primers thankfully! The Hodgdon offerings they had HP-38/WIN231 Titegroup/CFE pistol, Autocomp was all around $145-$159. Then looking online, seemed pretty good deal for the BE-86
I liked the data for BE-86 from the get go, but the more I use it the more I like this powder even more. I originally purchased it as a "what if SHTF", where it would bring a good balance of performance and little goes a long ways economics for my loading needs. Be a flash suppressed powder also helps.
