Title: Springfield Armory 10 mm?
Post by: MikeS. on April 03 2016 10:44:49 PM MDT
Do any of you think  Springfield will ever make a pistol in 10 mm? I call them at least twice a year asking them to do so. The XD  line of pistols is my favorite. I own several and the pistol  I shoot best is their 9 mm subcompact.

I'm not a mechanical engineer but I think converting their 45 auto to 10 mm would not be a huge chore.

Yes, it has be a disgusting plague of BRAINWASHING!  All the gun literature in print continuously bombarding people that its got to be a 1911 45ACP this or that and the 9mm is pushed like drugs on the street as well.  This has surged even strong every since Gaston Glock's Plastic Fantastic pistols came to the American Marketplace.

Therefore every chance I get, I bust these gun makers on their Facebook pages asking for some 10mm LOVE!  Companies like S&W, Springfield, Ruger, VLTOR and Berretta just to name a few could easily produce fine pistols chambered for the 10mm cartridge.  Even a carbine would be nice like the Deer Slayer or Camp Carbine...All of the revolvers that could be chambered have gone to the curb and may not be made make a return appearance.

I applaud companies like Sig Sauer for stepping out of their comfort zone to bring out their 10mm P220's, hat's off to them! :D

Companies overseas have made some damn fine guns and even some were chambered for the 10mm, like Sphinx, Grand Power but somehow never make it here or trickle in like unobtanium!

In closing here all we can do is keep pounding these companies over and over with hopes that someday they too may step out of their comfort zone to produce a fine pistol or rifle for our beloved cartridge!

Then again asking to also make a conversion barrel to complement them chambered in 9x25 would be like jerking teeth! :o

Their was an announcement at the SHOT show of a Lipsey's exclusive 1911 "Combat Operator".  This is the first run in 9mm:http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=SFPE9209LP (http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=SFPE9209LP)

Second run is due out late this summer in 45 acp and the third run is due out late fall, (just in time for Christmas) in 10MM!

Might want to have your dealer call and pre order a 10mm now as I doubt they'll last long.

IF you have the funds (and the interest), these can often be pre-ordered as a set with matching serial numbers.
