I received it today to put it through some pistols. They use two 25 round trays inside ???

The two 25 rd trays is normal in my experience for their handgun ammo. I personally don't mind and love the fact that they have the smallest boxes so storage is much more efficient. now I only wish they would come out with some good and hot defensive handgun rounds, it would be good for us and them. IMHO S&B is great ammo and a good value to boot.
I can't wait to see how these perform Intercooler. fingers crossed they have some spice so we have a decently priced practice round that isn't a 40sw velocity. I hate practicing with watered down stuff while having Underwood for defense. way too much of a recoil difference.
I like the smaller boxes also, I cannot stand those big Buffalo Bore boxed that waste space.
They have pretty good practice ammo in my experience. It's a little dirtier than most but that doesn't matter to me. It's not like I'm trying to clean out an AR. If I remember their 9mm is rated to have a pretty respectable speed.
We will find out tomorrow evening! I packed up with them this evening.
How about $15.00
http://www.sgammo.com/product/10mm-auto-ammo/50-round-box-10mm-auto-180-grain-fmj-ammo-sellier-bellot-sb10a
thats a good price for loaded ammo! I have shot & liked their ammo in other calibers. I recently loaded up a batch of their 180gr. JHP 10mm bullets. a box of their loaded ammo with them should be pretty reasonable too.
If it eclipses 1100 FPS this evening I might buy a whole case. The Sig stuff is great, but at a much higher price!
At 14.95 for plinking ammo that pretty much blows others out of the water. How is the brass btw?
$13.95 when you buy 20 boxes that's basically like getting free shipping works out to $15.05 a box shipped
That is $305.00/1K shipped. That is a great deal.
Of course, they only have 19 in stock. I was gonna pull the trigger on factory practice ammo for the first time in seven or eight years at that price.
that's probably cause I just bought 20 boxes lol sorry I went in with a few friends on it so it would be more economical
At that price 10mm will become popular # :)) ;D :-X
Looks like the party is over. The link now leads to an "access denied" message.
Still shooting them, but looks like a new bang for the buck round...
Roughly 1160 on the 6" and 1145 in the 4.75".
Not bad. Especially for that price.
More:
http://www.bulkammo.com/bulk-10mm-ammo-10mm180grfmjsellierbellot-50
Good bit more. 1K rounds would be $391.82 delivered to my door.
Extra $100 puts me back to pulling the lever on my press.
But if you don't reload or are looking for a start on brass for reloading, this is still a good deal.
Yes indeed it is more. But....they have it in stock.
SG is down to -10 as of this post. :o
I ran 10 shot strings for these to gather more data.
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1140, 1146, 1154, 1145, 1140, 1138, 1137, 1145, 1142, 1134. Average = 1142.1 FPS/ 521 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1162, 1161, 1162, 1172, 1188, 1162, 1140, 1160, 1161, 1161. Average = 1162.9 FPS/ 541 LBS
I always love shooting the EAA 10's. My favorite! 8)
All I can say as a reloader, I HATE S&B brass. I have an old Lee Enfield that I was getting case head separations out of. I was thinking it was just an old eroded chamber until I noticed that every case that separated was one made from S&B brass. No other manufacturer's brass was doing it. As I don't trust their brass, how in the heck can I trust their ammo?
Fresh factory ammo will be fine for you. Shot thousands of their 9mm and 45.
I almost picked up a couple of boxes from my LGS the other day. $20 a box, I like that they are cheaper than Sig by a couple of dollars. Might have to pick up a couple of boxes, I have a bunch of their 9mm stuff that I have yet to shoot but I hear its good stuff.
I know some people don't like Cheaper Than Dirt but they are showing it in stock at $13.98 per box.

I haven't purchased anything from cheaper than dirt since sandy hook and I never will again.

They rate it 1164 FPS/ 543 LBS. Close to my 6" numbers for sure!

$33.00 shipping for 10 boxes. I still hate CTD for the same reasons others do!
I've bought stuff from them many times in the past. After sandy hook I nicknamed them cheaper than platinum.
I ordered 2 pmags from them the day before sandy hook I got my shipping notice than they did their whole pause in sales thing a few days after that and I get 2 separate emails from them First one said sorry the mags I ordered were now out of stock and I'd get my credit card refunded the next email was to inform me that pmags were in stock but now they cost 5 times what I ordered them for. I understand price gouging but the cancelled my order and re listed them for a higher price so now I'll never buy from them again. Sorry for the thread jack.

That's respectable. Very close to the Win STHP that I carry. Thanks for the report.
I'm also curious about the brass. I'd expext it to be fine based upon experience loading S&B in other cartridges. If it could could had for 30.5 cents a round, it is pretty close to a push for the cost of hand loaded fmj ammo in new Starline cases. If a guy needed brass, might as well buy some of this factory stuff.
Had a chance to chrono some S&B 10mm today and got:
Witness 4.5": 1111,1104,1108,1107,1095 (average = 1105 fps)
Glock 20 w/Lone Wolf 4.6": 1102,1094,1094,1123,1112 (average = 1105 fps)
This is about the same velocities as Armscor (at least the stuff I bought last year) and considerably below Sig 180gr FMJ which chrono'd 1224 fps from the EAA today).
Sounds about right to me.
Puny but good. How does the brass seem?
The brass all looked fine, with no signs of cracks or damage (my Witness is pretty gentle on brass although it does try to send it into the next county). It looked like it was making a good chamber seal based on cleanliness and I didn't see the primer doing anything weird (reflow, protrusion, etc). I haven't tried reloading any of it yet.
BTW, Sportsmansguide has it in stock now at $15.99/box for non-members:

Just ordered 3 boxes from sportsman guide . It's about the same price as 40 s&w .
Shot a box today and was surprised at the accuracy. At 25 yds most hit inside 3" group. Did notice a bit more smoke , but no biggie. I thought they were very good for the money .
They sold out. :(
Any brick and mortar stores carry these?
Found this and it was pretty good for the price and I will buy more.
My only complaint was that is was a smoky round, when I got to my 3rd round in a mag I had a smoke cloud around me.
Anyone looking to buy more S&B 10mm, check out Midway:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/328319/sellier-and-bellot-ammunition-10mm-auto-180-grain-full-metal-jacket
33-36 cents per round before shipping/discounts. I added one 1000 round box to my cart, then applied:
789541365 as a coupon code for 20% off
Then add the cheapest free shipping item to lower overall shipping price:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/129448/cold-steel-blowgun-quiver-for-625-caliber
... and voila! 28 cents per round delivered. That's cheaper than what it costs me to make 10mm ammo using new starline brass.
True.
I ended up with $282 (and 10 targets).
- 104 1000 FMJ
- 30 1000 Primers
- 162 1000 cases
and I'm already -20 and haven't even subtracted the powder.
Sweet!
I bought 15 boxes from Sportman, came out to around .30 a round or so. I also noticed it is still available here for under .31 a round shipped to me. While I reload I figure this would be good plinking ammo and I will check out the brass vs the Starline I generally use.

Sportsman's Guide has the S&B for $15.19 for members, $15.99 for non members. Use code SH1029 for free shipping over $25. Today is the last day for that code.

Selway has the Sig Sauer for $21 plus shipping. Still cheap compared to LGS.
Well, just checked Selway again. Only 1 box of the Sig available.
I finally put together a 10mm conversion set up for my G-21 (Storm Lake barrel, 20# recoil spring and a couple of G-20 mags). I just ordered 500 rounds of the S&B 180 grain FMJ's from Sportman's Guide today to break it in....... :D
Just did same to add to my 10mm stash and used code bradship for free shipping. Less than $16/box nonmember price.

300 for $100, that was easy. The brass isn't bad either. Thank you for the shipping code, that made all the difference.
And again, Sportsman's Guide has S&B 10mm in stock with free shipping. $15.19 for members, $15.99 for non members.
Free shipping code: SH1589 No minimum. I put some though my 1006 last week. Functioned fine and definitely more punch than PPU, Freedom Munitions, American Eagle, etc.

Good to know.
Any place have these on sale for a decent price? $18-$19 per box is a little stout.
Bud's has it for $14.82 plus shipping right now:

Under $300/K is a great price.
I would comment though, they did the muzzle energy calculation wrong. Looks like someone fat fingered the velocity into the calculator as the ammo would need to be exactly 200 fps faster to make 743 lb-ft.
Still great practice/plink ammo.

ORDERED. Wow thanks hugely!! I really appreciate it. Have a Merry Christmas!!
I just need some plinking ammo and won't get in the reloading groove again until 2017.
