I bought a complete G21 slide for my G20 just because and found the 45 super cartridge. It looks to be great wild cat rd. Any one here have any real world #s on this stuff?

Thanks Shadow!
Here lately UW has been using the LOVEX powders in a bunch of their loadings and I wouldn't be surprised to see LOVEX D037-01.
They showed 11.4 grains LOVEX D037-01 in the 45 ACP +P 255 gr HC @ Muzzle Velocity: 925 fps Muzzle Energy: 484 ft lb
In the past I had worked up 230gr head with autocomp... just a hair above max.
Nice warm round fired in a stock Sig 220. No problems BTW
The 45super 255gr hard cast is beast of a load. this load is a great choice for woods carry. I'm still a 10mm guy the this 45super stuff is a close second to me.
MT10mm, What does the case head show on the UW loadings? Are they shown as 45Super? It must be the same bullet as the UW 45ACP you sent for pull-down documentations. We could do a pull-down inspection to see how they differ and if the same powder was used if you like... :D
It does read 45 super. I think it is the same used in 45acp, 45 super and 460 Rowland. I need to order more, went out today and shot what I had left.
I went back and the Underwood 45ACP's you sent HC 255 and Hornady 230 XTP were 45 Auto +P Starline casings, so it was not labeled as 45Super brass...

I do not know why Hodgdon calls those "Super" loads. They are rather anemic. I wouldn't even consider them to be +P.
This is the fastest 185gr HDY 45ACP load listed on the Hodgdon wenbsite:
Hodgdon CFE Pistol .451" 1.135" COAL; 7.1gr 1,008fps 15,800 PSI; 8.1gr 1,139fps 19,700 PSI 19,700 PSI isn't even +P
I made some 45 Super loads for my Glock that were within Underwood's numbers, and they beat the crap out of my gun. They were 185grain JHP @1300fps.
.
Yes My_Old_Glock, I know, but that was the data that they had sometime back for the 45Super (Look at the pressure values in CUP).
I also had some 45 Auto+P loads that exceed these numbers as I was looking for working +P data.
I am running a 24lbs spring in my g21 and the recoil was very noticeable. Would not want to shoot it for more than a mag or 2.
I have about 100rds under my belt so far and feel over all recoil is not bad. I feel it's more of a push than the snap of hot 10mm. I like it and it's been my woods carry choice this spring.
As mentioned... Don't think the are really more than +P
Maybe they meant these to be "super" ( small S ) ... some of the boutique rounds exceed this.
I max'ed out at 7.0 of auto comp with a 230gr fmj rn. Ten rounds if I remember and a couple of those just started to flatten primers, so I dropped back to 6.8 grs.
From a stock sig 220.... no problem other than the slight flatting of primers at 7.

Wow.
My standard "woods" load for my 45acp is 10.0 gr. #7 with a 260 gr RCBS "Kieth" SWC. Chronos 940 f.p.s. out of my old 5" SA 1911 Loaded model. That particular lot # of D037-01 must be a bit slower burning than normal.
Jeff
There is also the 450 SMC.
