Gun broker to auction the gun that shot Treyvon Martin . The Today show stated the price would start at $5000. George Zimmerman said "it's a piece of history" .
I hope no one buys.
A follow up to that....
A handgun is a tool of self defense. This tool happens to have been used for it's purpose.
I have hammers that have driven nails and saws that have cut wood. I have a trailer that has hauled stuff.
No what that means? They are used. Detracts from value. The George Zimmerman/Treyvon Martin situation was tragic. A family lost a son to the thug life, and later to death when he attacked the wrong man. George Zimmerman's life is destroyed.
But there is no important history here. No game changing case law. Just a justified use of self-defense and a media circus for the masses that don't do something better with their life.
Gun broker just removed it . I should have took a screen shot. It was for sale for about 10 min. If anyone can find a screen shot pm the link to me .

"Prospective bidders, I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012. The gun is a Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm. It has recently been returned to me by the Department of Justice. The pistol currently has the case number written on it in silver permanent marker. Many have expressed interest in owning and displaying the firearm including The Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. This is a piece of American History. It has been featured in several publications and in current University text books. Offers to purchase the Firearm have been received; however, the offers were to use the gun in a fashion I did not feel comfortable with. The firearm is fully functional as the attempts by the Department of Justice on behalf of B. Hussein Obama to render the firearm inoperable were thwarted by my phenomenal Defense Attorney. I recognize the purchaser's ownership and right to do with the firearm as they wish. The purchaser is guaranteed validity and authenticity of the firearm. On this day, 5/11/2016 exactly one year after the shooting attempt to end my life by BLM sympathizer Matthew Apperson I am proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be used to: fight BLM violence against Law Enforcement officers, ensure the demise of Angela Correy's persecution career and Hillary Clinton's anti-firearm rhetoric. Now is your opportunity to own a piece of American History. Good Luck. Your friend, George M. Zimmerman ~Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum~"

Dude is a loser.
I wouldn't want this tool any more than the hatchet that Lizzy Bordon used. The gun was used to end a person life. Treyvon made the wrong choice and it cost him his life. If I was having my head beat into a sidewalk i would do what it took to stop the person but I would not put whatever I use knife gun whatever up for sale after doing it. I'm not physic but I see a law suit in Gun Broker and Zimmermans future.
+1 - "Dude is a loser"
I have complete and utter disdain for the media and political circus this situation has been from nearly first day through today. I think it serves as decent microcosm for much of what is wrong with our country today.
Whole situation is a tragedy with no winners or good guys.....Only losers.
Neat, only 65 million dollars:

Dude is a loser.
He won his life over Trayvon, and he won his court case. Yup, sounds like the typical loser to me. ::)

Do you own any guns that were used by the military (especially WWII)? How many American gun owners have Mauser, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, and/or 1903 Springfield military rifles that may have been used to kill someone? How many American gun owners have Luger, P-38, 1911, Webley, Colt, and/or S&W military pistols that may have been used to kill someone?
.
Zimmerman followed harassed and when confronted shot a unarmed man.
Thats how PUNKS operate.
He confronted Martin and got it handed to him and then he shot the man.
Some want to put Zimmerman on the $20 bill now.

Where is your proof Z harassed TM?
Z followed TM, AND called the Police to report suspicious behavior. The Police told Z to back away, and Z did. TM came back after he Z lost sight of him and began hitting him with his 2 unarmed arms. TM got "it" handed to him.
.
Zimmerman initiated a incident.
If someone was following me I would have done the same thing. But if you have a gun and kill someone, there will only be one side of the story.
Dudes a punk thats the bottom line.

Exactly. GZ didn't break the law. GZ was part of Neighborhood Watch and was demonstrating personal responsibility for his neighborhood. GZ used a tool to stop a thug from continuing a violent assault against him which could have lead to his own serious bodily harm or even his own death.
And let me get this straight: You
would do the same thing if someone were following you? You should NOT own or carry a firearm if this is how you would respond to something as simple as
being followed. That's irresponsible behavior and people who behave like you give us law-abiding gun owners a bad name.
But there will always be those who automatically take the other side, point fingers, and defend for no reason other than to get an emotional response. We call them trolls.
I have a change of heart.
I now think its swell to go around with a gun following black people.
If they say something, its OK to just shoot them.
Lots of tough guys hear, bet most of you could not take out one black one on one.
What a bunch of posers.

This is officially
THE STUPIDIST comment I've ever seen posted on this forum!!
Ro thinks its OK to follow unarmed blacks and when they confront you it's, OK to pull out your gun and shoot them.
Lots of heroes on this forum.

I have no major issue with Zimmerman based on the facts which came out in the case. While I don't think he utilized the best judgement at points in the evening; he clearly didn't broke no law and therefore exonerated.
He's earned the loser moniker from me for all his feebleminded, foolishness (including this) subsequent to his trial.

You don't know me you bloviating douche bag.
To steal a quote from Billy Madison movie:
"Mr. Wolfie, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
There is just simply no fix for stupid and I'm done with you.
Whether you stick around or get kicked off this forum all the same to me; I'll never read another post from you.
Of course Ro keep up the name calling, as long as you have a gun, you are superior to any unarmed black you see.
And why would I get kicked off the forum, because I am against killing unarmed people?
This isn't the politics section where we expect this kinda brawl.
The courts decided that in this situation it was a clean shoot. And that is that.
