Bought 3 boxes of Federal 223 55gr fmj 100rd value pack ( burgundy red ). I've only seen them at Walmart. Well , anyways, they are NOT accurate. They go bang every time and cycle in my AR and bolt Howa and thats were it ends. Before I got them I read the reviews and everyone bragged about how accurate they were , some even calling them " the poor man's gold match ". Well these ain't no Federal Gold Match .As a matter of fact I would bet money that Tula 223's have better accuracy. I have many different brands of 223/5.56 ammo that I compared yesterday. Usually our Rural King carries Geco, Aquila, winchester nato, federal American eagle, remington umc and the hunting 223 which is expensive. I switched back and forth between the Geco 55 grain , American eagle 55 grain, Federal 55 grain fmj " value pack" . My test rifle was my Howa 223 1/9" twist with nikon 4x16 monarch . At 100yds the Geco was about 1.5" , the black american Eagles were about 2" and the " federal value pack " was about 5"+. These were all 10 shot groups . I really like the Geco 223 and their 5.56 . Wish they made a 10mm round . Their stuff is always hot.
I've seen that ammo at Walmart (nowhere else) but never bought it.
Rural King is a great store - we got out first one about a year ago. Great place for ammo, Stihl chainsaws and $8 RK jeans.
We love our rural king . They have their own gun sales website . They are starting to carry some upper end pistols like Sig sauer . What's funny is High point is their biggest seller at our local store.
I drove by their headquarters twice last week. Funny that such a gun friendly company is headquartered in such an anti-gun state.
