Title: Remington 180grFMJ report
Post by: RDub01 on November 04 2012 05:41:15 PM MST
Hi
Finally got a hold of some of this Rem UMC stuff.. Had to order it from Cheaper than Dirt.
No one around here carries it, for some reason.. But yet it's out of stock much of the time on-line..

Anyway here it is..

Thanks for the info link...While I can be positive that powder looks similsr to LongShot and at that charge weight it would perform at about the same velocity...

Shadow, interesting you'd say that powder looks like Longshot. It also looks like WSF, with that irregular crushed ball shape. I've been trying to duplicate a hot 9mm load, without very good success, using WSF, thinking it was the powder used in the original load. The same charge weight and same components is giving me 75 fps less than the original load. Maybe it's Longshot, not WSF, that I should be using. Thanks for that observation.
