Title: Getting to know my 29SF
Post by: Overkill338 on January 18 2017 12:02:41 PM MST
I'm more accurate with this, than I have been any of my Glocks to date, and the only work done to it, was a $0.25 trigger job.

Did some velocity testing (avg. Of 5)
Sig V Crown 180 grain - 1181 fps
Hornady Critical Duty - 1087 fps
These Underwoods were a 10 piece gift from a friend.
Underwood 180 XTP - 1256 fps
Underwood 200 XTP - 1134 fps

I had a blast.... Literally! I have no idea why I didn't get this pistol sooner. I can't wait to get my 6" 10mm barrel and 9x25 barrel!

Good velocities out of the short barreled 29.

I always say take speeds with a grain of salt as every chrono is different.

Yes but on average the short barrel is doing better than I personally thought it would.

The Critical Duty is my carry ammo and I believe a 175 grain at nearly 1100 fps should be more than enough.

Yep, some great numbers from the G-29, it has been a great shooter for me as well.

The underwood 180 sure doesn't lose a lot.

My 29 is loaded with Underwood 200 Noslers, and wowwww. 6 shot average 1144. They do sting a little and not easy to control without the pinky extensions.
