Title: Fair price for an S&W 1006?
Post by: s0nspark on November 20 2012 06:11:10 PM MST

I've got it in my head that I want an S&W 1006 as my next 10mm... what would be a fair price for one, based on condition? I know little about them and don't want to get fleeced :-)

Their was one recently for $500 but was gone before you could bat an eye!

I paid $795 for mine about 3 months ago NIB. I wanted new though and was having a hard time finding one used for less than $700.

Here is one:

If you can get a good used one from $700-$750 I think you are doing pretty good.

I paid 800 not long ago.   Not NIB but almost.     Was local so I didn't have to ship, transfer fee, FTF so no tax.     I have seen them little cheaper online but I am not a fan of buying a gun I can't hold and see first.

I paid just over $600 for a very nice one with 3 mags.  Bought it online thru the S&W forum.  I've seen several for sale on that forum in the past 6 months and most are around $700.
