His magazines according to him fit real tight! He says at the end feel free to leave comments or questions. Go for it!

It sounds to me like he is talking about the mag spring being tight making it difficult to load the 14 rounds. He also mentions the last round feeding problem that I have too. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks since
Colorado Gun Works received my P40 and I haven't heard from them.

I'd be calling them daily at this point.

While I have only ran two full magazines through mine I also experienced the last round not feeding on both magazines.  The magazine springs are fairly strong but I wouldn't say out of the ordinary for a new mag spring.  Im looking forward to getting to the bottom of the last round not feeding issue.

Have another video up now on youtube (10mm fanman) Grand Power P40. it shows the last round hanging up. It is very accurate!!! Shoots a little to left but drifted sight over so that should fix it.  This is 24 rds of S&B fmj at 7yrds .(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170309/11e46bb8dc90d6f59f6b5d58fe460dac.jpg)

Do you think it's not pushing up hard enough at the end? Does the last round look to be nosing up or down causing the issue on the last round?

The Witness 10mm springs should fit that magazine. Maybe an increased power spring might work?

Seems like it is getting stuck between the follower and the lips of the mag. It is more of a upward position. I might try changing the spring and follower from my EAA mag and see if that helps.

Check for burrs or anything on the plastic that doesn't let it go full travel.

I think some of the Witness followers had a plastic blob at the bottom that had to be removed to fit 15 rounds at one point.

I got to shoot my GP some more today. I am having the ftf on the last round of every mag also. With the new red spring it does NOT like light factory Remington 180 fmj's at all. The good news it shoots my 165 gr. hand loads with out failure and they group really well. Overall I like the way this gun shoots and hope to keep making progress with every trip to the range. On a side note my Delta Elite will run anything I throw at it and every bit as accurate.

So put about 200 more rounds of different types of ammo through my GP 10mm with no luck. Still FTF on last round of the mag or if I just put one round in the mag it will jam just like the photo. I did discover if I press the tip of the barrel against something after it is jammed the bullet will finish loading all the way and go in to battery . I must say I thought this would fix it self over time but I have put over 300rds through it and showing no sign of improvement. Lucky for me I ordered? the gun from Davidson's so they will have it fixed or replace it free of charge. Just hope it dose not take forever to get back.

Is the first and last rounds sitting level in the magazines? Maybe the front of the lips need a tweak?

Man it feeds great as long as there are more than one rounds in the mag. If I load just one round in the mag then try to chamber it will not even chamber all the way . I know the mag is releasing the round because I can eject the mag after it locks up and the lips are not touching the round. Only thing I can think is it might be the angle of the  follower . hope they can fix it . I will keep you guys posted.

In this case I don't think it's the pistol and suspect something with the magazines.

Yeah I think it's the mags. Just got my boss to call our sales rep at Davidson's (i work in a gun shop). The are sending me a new gun and should be here in few days. Also sending call tag for the old gun. We will see if this one is any better. Crossing my fingers lol.

I made up a half dozen dummy rounds to cycle thru the mags and action of my GP, all different type of bullets just to be sure is isn't a bullet type issue. After spending 2-3 hours emptying mags thru the gun I can only reproduce the last round ftf consistently when I slowly release the slide. When I release it from fully open it only jambs randomly. While watching the bullets feed operating the slide somewhat slow it appears that the mag follower is not throwing the case head up as fast on the last round making it jamb. IF...I am right does anybody have any ideas on how to correct this without compromising the first 13 rounds?

What color is your recoil spring?

Edit: Oops, you have the red spring don't you :-[

It came with the longer silver one and I replaced it with the red one.

Still disappointed with my gun after warranty work. Magazines still drop fro. The mag well with full power loads. Still jams frequently. It's a bitch to reassemble to. Overall can't recommend it to anyone. I love my Smith and Glocks way more.

Does the K40 follower look similar to my K100 9mm?

That center knub could be a limit problem for fitting 14 rounds.
