Title: 1911 10mm...
Post by: Hairtrigger on November 24 2012 10:28:13 AM MST
I only own 1911's in 10mm, no 45acp
I purchased this conversion not quite knowing what it was all about.
My Delta Elite and Double Eagle frames will not work, leaving my Springfield Linkless

That's really neat and something you don't see ever! I dumped my .45 when I found 10mm. Never did like the round that much.

What type of conversion is that and where did you get it?

Wow. Pachmayr Dominator? Never seen one of those either....or heard of one. I assume it shoots a rifle cartridge?

I was thinking the pic was clear enough to see but I am wrong.
The caliber is 7/08. The recoil is not bad .The real problem is the 1911 is just not a comfortable gun with the heavier recoil!
I have several Large recoil handguns like Lone Eagles in 7br and 308 as well as a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454, the Pachmyer is just not as fun as far as the recoil. It is also more difficult to get an empty case out and a loaded shell in the chamber
