Just went from the 4 to the 5
I haven't been on Android since the Droid X
Thoughts and opinions
I have a semi "DUMB" phone, Motorola razr, while it does have a few features, I don't do even do text, it has 0.3Mp crappy camera, 2gb sd card to hold songs and pics...been out of contract for several years. I basically just use my phone for a phone...
While I can upgrade my phone, I am searching for my next phone and plans...with AT&T but may actually switch to another carrier. Data rates are outragous. New fangled phones are setup for all the BS, apps, and data like a computer and the larger screens seem to be all the rage. Should I go Whole Hog, on a new phone I suppose I'd get a nice do-it-all phone that I can wear like the chest plate on Darth Vader which can stop bullets as a level III chest plate! It should look cool as I whip open my "Shadow Duster" to answer it! :o
Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha ;D
i have a Samsung droid charge and like it far more than my wifes iPhone 4. Only drawback is it isn't a world phone.
I will say android was not competitive until 2.3. And if you javelin a carrier brand phone like my Charge you get left behind. my next phone will probably very from Google so it stays current with the latest releases.
About 2 months ago I upgraded from my iphone 3Gs to my new Samsung galaxy S3.
Honestly I wish I went with the iphone 5.
I like the large screen on the galaxy and the customizability of the home screen. I like google maps/navigation.
Things I dont like. Trying to type this is strenuous, I hate the keyboard is terrible, it does not auto correct and imo is a real pain to use.
I hate the messaging. It does not show up in order.
And the visual voicemail was nice on the iphone. The Samsung I have to call my voicemail.
When it starts running slow. I have to go into the task manager and clear the ram.
Oh and my laptop is a macbook. I wanted to transfer pictures from my iphone to the galaxy through the laptop and I cannot connect the galaxy to the computer.
Maybe I can fix some of these things not sure.
The iphone seamed a lot easier to use.
I am in love with Siri
I got the Droid Charge when it first came out....it had the best camera offered. I can honestly say it's the first phone I've been totally happy with....well almost, wish it vibrated a tad harder. I work in a environment that I don't even notice it.
