Novice alert...What is the weight of the Ruger recoil spring on the 10mm?

Stiff.

Feels very much like my Para that has a 24 lb spring, though that spring has seen a couple K rounds.  I would guess at least 22 lbs.

If it is a 22 lb. spring I was thinking about putting a 24 lb. spring in my Ruger.  What are the pros and cons?

Recoil Spring is 18lb, main spring is 30lbs.  I've run up to a 24lb and 26lb recoil spring with a flat bottom firing pin stop.  Still ejects cases 10-15 feet with a 220gr bullet @ 1200.

Can confirm that 18lbs is the published spec.

Can also confirm that it is stiffer than the Wolff 24 lb in my Para.  Granted the wolff spring has seen a couple K rounds...But I am not sure Ruger's measuring their springs the same as everyone else :P
